Notes on data changes

Here we list notes explaining important emissions changes for the country. ’' means that the following text only applies to the TP time series, while  means that it only applies to the CR scenario. Otherwise the note applies to both scenarios.

  • Data from Australia’s BTR1 has been included leading to changes in the CR time-series.
  • 2022 changes in several sectors are due to 2022 emissions in the BTR1 which differ from emissions / growth rates in third party data sources, e.g. for CO2 in 1.B.2 and 1.A, and for CH4 in 3.A.
  • The -10% change in cumulative N2O emissions from agriculture excluding livestock is due to a downward revision of agricultural N2O especially for crop residues.
  • Emissions in the TP time-series have changed little, most notably for waste and ‘other’ sectors (FAOSTAT removal)
  • For f-gases the reported 2022 emissions are lower than estimates based on numerical extrapolation used in v2.5.1.
